BBR team members recently attended the 2016 HIA Queensland Gala Night at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Plaza Ballroom, at which the annual Queensland Regional Housing Awards were presented. It was a fantastic evening featuring live entertainment from performers such as James Morrison and Queensland tenor trio Tenori, a multi-course meal, photo booth and a silent auction. Without doubt, the highlight of the evening for our company was when Office Manager Danielle Berry was presented with the 2016 Queensland Region Business Partner Award!
This award is presented to an employee or family member of a small/medium business in the construction industry who plays a key support role ‘behind the scenes’. Danielle has been with Brisbane Bathroom Renovations for almost nine years, and is involved in all aspects of the business from initial contact with potential clients, administrative duties and financial planning, through to on-site visits with clients and photographing completed projects. The judging panel indicated that the duration of Danielle’s time with the company was a key factor in her receiving the Business Partner Award.
Dozens of other awards were presented on the evening in over 20 categories, such as Affordable Housing, Project Home, GreenSmart Energy Efficiency, Innovation in Housing and Custom Built Homes. Congratulations to all the winners, and the many deserving finalists. Thanks also to Winning Appliances, who partnered with HIA in presenting the 2016 Queensland Region Business Partner Award. All winners of the regional awards now progress to the 2017 HIA National Housing Awards, to be held on Hamilton Island from 25 – 27 May 2017.
